This is really dope! Concept and humor are great! Art and animation are great!

The only thing is BRO THIS IS SO OBVIOUSLY COPIED FROM RICK AND MORTY like come on it's super obvious.

The way the guy says "Kerry" after every sentence like how Rick says "Morty", the way the voice actor played him was in the same emotionality and cadence of Rick and you even made his pupils have the same shape at 2:25!

Why'd you do that?? it doesn't add any substance to the film and only detracts.

Would have given a 4.5/5 or 5/5 if it wasn't for that.

Thanks man! His voice was definitely inspired by Rick, I didn't realize that would bother people so much! Rick and Morty was the first time I saw something on television and thought "Woah, this is like, my sense of humor! On TV!" which was a big moment for me, because I never thought my sense of humor would work on TV. I thought it was too weird. I just thought for this cartoon it would be fun to use a voice similar to Rick's for Dan's character, and that it'd be a fun little reference to a show I love. I can see the newgrounds community is not of a similar mind haha

Hahaha the art was great and the animation was very unique! putting 2d characters in a 3d environment and allowing you to see from angles that break the illusion gives it a kind of a charm to it. I think the humor could be a bit tighter but as far as art and animation go this is great work!

art and animation were dope but push the joke farther. if the joke is that he punches the guy for the jump scare than have him beat the shit out of him. the joke just doesnt sell itself.

You have no idea how much I relate to that lol.

I liked the concept of this but the execution was a bit off. The script needed to be shortened and made tighter, and the animation/art should have more variation in it. It gets visually boring after a point and the humor gets old. If this was cut down to a minute of the funniest moments it would be a stronger piece.

It's okay that you have virtually no actual animation in this since I assume that's the style you're going for but that means the script and voice acting are going to be doing all the heavy-lifting and I don't think they're quite at that level yet.

Very valid criticisms, I ended up doing quite a few rewrites for the script this episode as I had a general idea of what needed to happen to advance the story, I just didn't know how to accomplish it.

I do generally want the videos to be around this length so I have enough time to turn things around at the end/develop events. I think the current issues caused by the length are more just side effects of my own inexperience/incompetence.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll try as much as I can to improve on these issues and I'll see what the next one looks like.

[Stop Pollution Short Animation]

The art style is dope and the animation is pretty good but it's pretty predictable and the smoke effects look kind of slip-shod.

Do you use flash to animate? were you using the "soften fill edges" tool to create the smoke? because if so you needed to add more steps and pixels to make it look fluffy. Right now it just looks poorly rendered. Also the smoke clouds coming out of the pipes are stretched in weird proportions.

The art style ultimately carries this as being the strongest point of focus. Keep it up!

The animation is very strong. A few things for improvement:

Choose a better background or get rid of it. That background does not make sense nor look aesthetically pleasing. For a simple animation like this it would have been better to have no background at all if you're not willing to put in the effort to make it look nice.

Also, I would have a clear ending. It seems like it just ends in the middle of the fight.

As far as animation goes it's strong work, though!
